PREFORMED LINE PRODUCTS’ NEW COMMUNICATIONS BOOTH FEATURES NEW LAST DROP COYOTE® CLOSURE DESIGNS ASSEMBLED IN APPLICATION-SPECIFIC CONFIGURATIONS AT FTTH SHOW IN ANAHEIM, CA JUNE 29 – JULY 1.
Mayfield Village OH, June 26, 2015… Responding to customers’ continuing requests for cost effective, versatile, expandable and installer-friendly fiber optic closure options in FTTH last drop applications, Preformed Line Products Company (“PLP”) will introduce several new line extensions to the COYOTE product family at their redesigned booth #841 at the 2015 FTTH Show.
The new booth will feature PLP products in actual installations (i.e., on poles, etc.), to show hardware, wiring, ease-of-use and connectability. In addition, formed wire products for aerial construction of ADSS cable and strand hardware, like GUY-GRIP® dead-ends will be featured.
“In reality, network design is never static; assumptions about the evolution of any network have to balance quality, reliability, deployment efficiency and cost… especially at the final connection points,” observes Chris Grubish, Global Market Manager, Communications Markets for PLP. “These new designs, in tandem with PLP’s personalized customer service and technical expertise, really support application flexibility, simplified installation and long-term service dependability.”
The new products include:
COYOTE DTC2 (Drop Termination Closure)
A rugged, compact inline, COYOTE DTC2 can be configured to support applications including splice, repair, and duct transition, and has internal adapters, to couple standard pre-connectorized drop cable assemblies, thereby avoiding costly specialized hardened drop cables.
COYOTE DTC4 and DTC6 (Drop Termination Closures)
The COYOTE DTC4 and DTC6 are packed with features to support splicing, connectivity or ducting applications using traditional cable, blown fiber, pushable drop cable technology or microtube cable, all in a footprint slightly larger than a splice tray. Multiple internal fiber organizers accommodate current and future needs.
COYOTE DTC8 (Drop Termination Closure)
The COYOTE DTC8 has ultimate flexibility, supporting a range of fiber organizer systems for splice, distributed splitter and drop applications using traditional cable, blown fiber cable, pushable drop cable technology or microtube cable, as well as pre-connectorized drop applications.
All new COYOTE DTCs are flame retardant, re-enterable and reusable, with factory-installed sealing materials and compact form factors.
COYOTE ATC (Aerial Termination Closure)
PLP’s aerial closure system supports drop distribution networks without the need for specialized drop cable assemblies, and features a unique dual chamber design with independent access to the splice/slack storage chamber or the drop connection chamber. The flexible grommet sealing system supports a wide range of cable profiles.
FIBERLIGN® FDC8 (Drop Cable Storage Bracket)
This new size stores slack cables in-span or pole-/vault-/wall-mounts, at an 8” minimum storage diameter to avoid fiber attenuation or damage. In aerial applications, the ridged design and capture tabs are designed to keep cable secure under high wind and ice loads, and can be double-stacked with ease.
